What makes UKE.EL12.ORG unique?
We strive to cultivate positive attitudes and values in our students. Drawing inspiration from Colossians 3:23, we encourage our students to approach their studies and personal development with dedication and a spirit of excellence, as if working for a higher purpose rather than just for earthly recognition.
What vocabulary do you use at the academy?
At UKE.EL12.ORG, we use specific terms to describe our unique learning environment and activities. Here are the key terms and their definitions:
Learner
Instead of "student," we use the term "learner" to emphasize the active and engaged role of individuals in their own learning process.
Teacher
Our "teachers" are dedicated educators who guide and support learners through interactive and media-enhanced activities, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
Academy
Our "academy" is a dynamic and innovative learning space where learners engage in interactive and media-enhanced activities to develop their skills and knowledge.
MLA (Media Learning Activities)
MLA stands for Media Learning Activities. These are structured, interactive learning experiences that utilize various forms of media to enhance understanding and engagement.
Interactive Learning Share (ILS)
ILS stands for Interactive Learning Share. This is a collaborative session where learners present their MLA projects and engage in interactive discussions with teachers and peers to review and develop their communication skills.
Why don't you use terms like "lecture" or "classes"?
We believe in a more interactive and learner-centered approach to education. Instead of traditional lectures or classes, we focus on engaging activities and collaborative learning experiences that foster critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
